I used the tomatoes for the chicken, tomato, mushroom dish again and with the tomato juice I made beef stew. The tomato juice makes an excellent broth for the stew. This is a spin off of something very similar my mom used to make growing up.
Diced onions, garlic, yellow potatoes, carrots, frozen peas, beef chunks, s&p and tomato juice (two 8 ounce cans if you don't have an aunt supplying you with it). Turn the crock pot setting to low and let it simmer away all day. I also let the beef chunks marinate in Worcestershire sauce for about 30 minutes prior.

Her tomato juice is awesome...let's can our own this summer. At YOUR house of course!
Canned fruits and veges are so much better than the stuff you get at the grocery store. I've always been afraid to do it myself because of the sterilization process. :/ Your daughter is getting so big. Hope all is well. Have a great rest of the week. Tammy
Oh oh oh--I love to cook with canned veggies fresh from the garden. Your stew looks fabulous- one of my favorites! I bet you are an awesome cook--
